Main Events | Fri. July 9, 2010
Polish boxing fans have come to anticipate thrilling action from one of their Polish compatriots whenever they come to Prudential Center in Newark NJ. Expect the red and white Polish banners to fly and cheering to be exuberant as the tradition continues on July 16th. Adam Kownacki, fresh off of a 4th round KO of Yohan Banks, is scheduled to face 230lb Damon Clement of Ohio.
Fighting on the undercard of the Zab Judah vs. Jose Armando Santa Cruz fight, Kownacki will have a perfect opportunity to display his talents to the boxing world. In strict preparation for his upcoming bout, Kownacki has worked exclusively with his long time trainer Leon Taylor and the Global Boxing team to prepare him for his July 16th standoff. If things go according to preparation, this should be another victory for the young Kownacki as he continues his quest to become world heavyweight champion.
Kownacki, 3-0 (3 KO’s) is the hometown favorite and is heavily supported by the fans of the Polish community. With convincing wins in his last two bouts, Kownacki is successfully continuing his journey to becoming a world champion. Al Certo and Kevin Rooney once stated, “This kid has the punching power to be a world champion”.
The fight promoted by Main Events and Super Judah Promotions will take place on July 16th at Prudential Center, Newark, NJ. Doors open at 7pm. It will be broadcast live on ESPN2. Tickets priced at $53, $78, $103 and $203 (ringside) can be purchased at Prudential Center Box Office, by calling TicketMaster or www.Prucenter.com
