Friday, November 19, 2010 at 06:28PM Paterson: "Blond Boxers Would Test Hopkins." >>>

In light of Bernard Hopkins' recent observation that Manny Pacquiao has never fought a top black fighter, it's been suggested Hopkins has never fought a top-notch blond-haired fighter.
Hopkins stated, "Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao because the styles that African-American fighters -- and I mean, black fighters from the streets or the inner cities -- would be successful"
However, Hopkins himself has first-hand experience in not facing a certain group of fighters, mainly those with blond hair.
The reason for avoiding the so-called "Blond Bombers," is that Hopkins would have severe difficulty with their style. It is interesting to note Hopkins has never faced a blond-haired boxer during his entire professional career.
Jurgan Brahmer (WBO Light Heavyweight Champion and ‘Blond Bomber’) would beat Bernard Hopkins because the styles that yellow haired fighters– and I mean Blond fighters from the streets and inner cities – bring would be successful.
It is a known fact in boxing circles that blond-haired fighters are generally slick stylists who use angles and movement and defense to avoid punches - and set up their own offense. In addition, they often use counters to pot shot. This style would be hell for a fighter like Hopkins.
