by Suge Green
On The Cards…
Judge Tony Crebs 114-114, Judge Joseph Pasquale 117-111, Judge Barry Druxman 115-113. Your winner by way of majority decision and STILL IBF International Heavyweight Champion Tomasz Adamek.
1.) Arreola. The hometown fighter landing big power shots. Adamek shows a willingness to trade at times, but doesn’t get the best of the exchanges.
2.) Arreola. This wasn’t a big round. Arreola is controlling the pace, stalking and landing. Adamek shows he can find success with body flurries and moving, but has used this tactic sparingly thus far.
3.) Adamek. The Pole is using movement, backing away and boxing. Adamek now appears to be dictating a slow pace, but still shows early signs of fatigue from the movement.
4.) Arreola stalked and hurt Adamek. Adamek boxed and scored points. Read more »
One Round at a Time: Kessler Beats Froch
One Round at a Time: Kessler Beats Froch
The Viking Warrior conquers the Cobra in the Super Six World Boxing Classic.

by Suge Green
On The Cards…
Judge Cavalleri 115-113, Judge Van de Weile 116-112, Judge Tillman 117-111. Your winner by way of unanimous decision and NEW WBC Super Middleweight Champion of the World Mikkel Kessler.
1.) Hard round to score with both fighters feeling one another out. Kessler seemed to have control of the middle moments of the first round. Froch controlled the opening and closing moments of the round
2.) Another difficult to score round. Kessler may have edged it. These fighters are VERY well matched.
3.) Surprise…hard round to score. Kessler controlled the first two minutes, while Froch had the last minute more dramatically. I hate trying to score this fight.
4.) Kessler. First clear round for either fighter. Kessler has been working the body the whole fight and it is becoming more apparent to Froch in this round. It should be interesting to see if this body work pays off late. Froch apppears to be doing most of the boxing here, as Kessler follows him around the ring. Read more »

Carl Froch vs Andre Dirrell Entire Fight Card…From My Seat

Tuesday October 20th, 2009
by Davo Smith - OnThEGRiND BOXiNG UK
Upon arriving at the Trent FM Arena Saturday night, I was absolutely thrilled to be there on two fronts. Firstly, I was witnessing my first live World Title event, and secondly I was glad to be alive. I’d travelled to Nottingham with my brother, and to put it bluntly, he nearly ended everything for us when he decided to swerve a lane of traffic, in the interest of not missing the entrance to the carpark we had already passed once. After almost becoming part of a concrete pillar a half metre thick, I retrieved my ass and my shirt from the back seat and made a quick change to get ready for fight night. Read more »

Comanche Boy Remains Undefeated!
George “Comanche Boy” Tahdooahnippah claimed his 21st win (21-0-1) with a unanimous decision over Brooke Wellby (35-19-4) Friday night at the First Council Casino in Newkirk, OK. Tahdooahnippah prepared well for the veteran Wellby and the hard work paid off but he credits his opponent’s toughness and willingness to fight.
“Wellby had a good chin.” Tahdooahnippah said. “I hit him in the first round with some left hooks that wobbled him but he fought back. He kept coming, so I kept pounding him with punches. I hit him with some hard body shots but he had a good defense to survive. I was just too much for him.”
Tahdooahnippah will resume training this week and looks to return to the ring soon. Visit www.comancheboy.com for upcoming fight news.

Ran Nakash to another step towards fighting for a world title as he scored a tough unanimous decision over Gary Gomez in an eight cruiserweight bout that highlighted the sixth annual Cancer Awareness night at The Legendary Blue Horizon this past Friday night.
For Cancer Awareness night, Blue Horizon Boxing Inc. had Cancer groups from the area handing out information about the dreaded disease and honored oncologist, Dr. Edith Mitchell.

John Murray Roared On To Make A Statement In Manchester

Sunday October 4th, 2009
by Davo Smith - OnThEGRiND BoXING UK
Last night saw John Murray take on Jon Thaxton for the vacant British Lightweight Title and an undercard that provided every bit of the necessary precursor for a crowd seemingly ready for war. For what was possibly going to be a tough tough night for both headline fighters, the undercard most definitely added to the heated and passionate atmosphere. I was already sweating midway through the first bout as I sat still , which was a sign of the intensity that was to come. Read more »
Murray Stops Thaxton In Style In The Fourth
Saturday October 3rd, 2009
by Davo Smith
John Murray, impressively moves to 28-0, stopping Jon Thaxton in the fourth round of a scheduled 12 round contest for the vacant British Lightweight Title.
Murray, although taking a few shots early, really turned up the heat on Thaxton and was roared on by a hostile crowd to break Thaxton with a mature performance, waiting for openings and applying the pressure. Murray was able to catch Thaxton with some punishing shots through the first three rounds, wearing him down quickly and then landing a beautiful shot in the fourth wobbling Thaxton on to the ropes, stranded and deemed unable to defend himself leaving the referee no option but to call an end to the bout mid way through round four.
A more detailed fight review to follow.
