BRIGGS on FIRE OnThEGRinD

Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs made an impromptu appearance on the world’s premiere boxing radio show, OnTheGrind Sunday evening. Former Heavyweight Champion Briggs, pulled no punches when assessing the present condition of the heavyweight division, or it’s champions. In addition to calling Wladimir Klitschko a coward, Shannon gives his version of the events that took place behind the scenes leading up to “the fight that never happened,” between Briggs and Klitschko at Madison Square Garden. The immensely entertaining Shannon Briggs segment begins at the 1hr and 15 minute mark, and continues until the conclusion of the 2hr broadcast. Warning: The Briggs segment contains strong and explicit language.

OnTheGrind Boxing Radio also delivered Nate Campbell’s first radio interview following his defeat of Ali Funeka. The OTG Team felt a congratulations was in order, and Nate took time out of his celebratory festivities to accept some OTG accolades.

Episode 40 of OnTheGrind Boxing Radio also included multi talented, upcoming boxing brothers the Users, who talked to the team about their transition from the world of high level amateur standouts to that of highly anticipated pro prospects. The OTG Team also wrapped up the weekend’s fights as expected, including Campbell’s victory on the HBO card Saturday night, as well as previewing Top Rank’s PPV double header scheduled for next weekend. As always all breaking boxing news was covered, and YOUR voice, that of the educated boxing fan, was heard. Of course the commentary, news, analysis, and predictions that make OnTheGrind Boxing Radio the Pound4Pound Kings of Boxing Broadcast Journalism were delivered by Bigtime Tim Kudgis, and Suge Green. It’s On The Grind in ‘09.
