WHAT: Don King will announce at a press conference on Friday that he will pay tribute to Michael Jackson at his next scheduled event, a boxing card on July 11 at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.
WHY: King promoted the historic Jacksons Victory Tour in 1984 and brokered a colossal sponsorship deal between Michael Jackson and Pepsi. Since learning of Michael Jackson’s passing, King has been trying to come up with a way to pay tribute to his friend. He will explain his plans at the press conference with photos and videos.
