Wallstreet Report…Your Favorite Boxing Wager Consultant Returns

by James Thurston Wallstreet III

Welcome back to the Wallstreet Report! Whether you are on the front line in the boxing community, or you just make wagers on fight night, you are still investing in the sport one way or another. I am here to help you decide.

Here is a list I have complied of stocks from the past couple of fights!
Anthony Mundine: This is a fighter whose stock has basically stayed the same throughout his career. Even though he captured the IBO Middleweight title against Daniel Geale, he did so by way of split decision. A man who many insiders felt was a natural talent in the sport hasn’t seemed to capture the spotlight. With that being said it may finally rise soon. After his most recent victory he was pretty adamant about fighting Felix Sturm for the WBA title. If he is able to capture that title there will be nothing but big unification fights ahead for him. Should Strum give him the opportunity, I personally believe Mr. Mundine will add another title to his resume.

James McGirt Jr.: In the beginning of his career he seemed to be a highly touted rising prospect. That seemed to come to an abrupt stop after being stopped by Carlos De Leon Jr. His record in his past 5 fights has been 2-2-1, with his last fight being a close 6 round majority decision against little known Patrick Perez. The best part of investing in one of his fights is that his opponent always has a big payout, but that is about it.

Joey Spina: I realize that my associate Suge Green is very big on him, but I just do not see it. He has decent skills but his stock will never soar to a high level. Though with that being said, as long he is fighting on local shows around his area and isn’t stepping up to a title level, he is surely a smart investment.

This weeks investments:
Valuev-Chagev II: With the investment line being -115 for each it looks like a coin flip. Both fighters have not been impressive in their last performances. I see it going down the same as before with Chagev winning a decision, but the safe bet even though it is high at -350 is the over 10.5 rounds. The over in this fight is what I like to call a sure payout.

Cinton-Angulo: (UPSET SPECIAL) Without Angulo really having had a tough test, I find myself leaning towards Cintron for a small investment since his investment line is +250. Once again the over/under catches my eye. The over/under line is 8.5 with the over being at +160. I believe that these two fighter are going to try to play it safe respecting each others power. The best bet in this fight is that it goes the distance.

Berto-Urango: Yes Urango was impressive during his last fight but he is basically a one-trick guy. As long as Berto can avoid that devastating power he should be able to box himself to a lopsided unanimous decision. Though Berto is -350 and the Over 9.5 is -250 these are pretty much safe bets.
