Fast Eddie Chambers was victorious in a tough 10 round heavyweight battle on ESPN2’s FridayNightFights. Eddie did what needed to be done in order to get the win, but almost as notable about the broadcast last night was the fact that Teddy Atlas proves he is the douche he’s often accused of being by berating Chambers in front of a live world wide audience, during the post fight interview following his greatest victory. OnTheGrind Boxing apologizes for the entire boxing media world on behalf of this inconsiderate, though rightfully esteemed ass. Granted, Atlas still knows more about the sport than the combined full time (only) staff of OnTheGrind Boxing…however, without an apology to Eddie, Atlas shows himself to lack the heart of even one of boxing biggest ass holes…me. Luckily the significance of the incident was minimized by Chambers’ mild mannered demeanor, Atlas could stand to learn something from the young heavyweight. “The meek shall inherit the earth,” reads the Good Book, and Eddie Chambers is meek in spirit and fast in fist. Amen
