Last week boxing fans were thrilled to learn Barry McGuigan signed a six fight deal with Setanta Sports. This week Dolphil Promotions revealed former Australian Light Welterweight Champion, Dean Byrne will be appearing on their Aug. 7 card in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin, Ire.

The contemporary Irish boxing scene is one that has already produced a few internationally noteworthy fighters, as well as noteworthy battles.
